Saw a really sad interview Matthew James-Bailey where he states he was part of the cull and the effect on his mental health that decision had. He loved the show and was gutted to be axed. It really affected him he said he'd have stayed for years and upon receiving the axe news said it felt like his world had crumbled away. It was a sad read. It was a sad read  Way to go Cheers, another good character axed over your stale favourites

Axing him was a huge mistake - James, Cindy, Tom...what on earth where they thinking.
He is so popular also. Makes zero sense. Plus killing him off so he cannot return sucks.
