Certain characters just live on forever I think....even if they are dead like Mr C. Having him star in TGTBTG was perfection! Would like to see OB back with a hippie GF...he would have broken up with Summer as she was chasing the limelight to much or something lol.

Lol Mr C...what a legend!
I feel sorry for the fans that never knew him..."Get down off that thing" was comedy genius, when HO could do funny comedy and even the T4 scene when Max meets him and told him he sold the Drive N Buy and Mr C clips him around the ear "Burk" classic Gordon

Nobody even comes close now to Mr C. Jack is also great in his own right but he is alot more serious. Tony would probably be my closest Mr C character but even now they have changed him...he never complains when teens/students have coffee/stick their feet up on the tables. I want more Tony moaning scenes and nagging at the students/teens.

Mr C was great a comedy character but could do serious if he needed to
But he shone in comedy stuff esp if Max and OB were involved too, a great scene I remember is Ben's stag do with Max abd OB arguing and Mr C stuck in the middle

Mr C just gave it that close family & community feel. At present we have a community with the bookclub etc but we don't have any close families in the same league as the old days bar the Osbornes/Deans who are brilliant.
The village has lost its spark now as nobody owns any of the shops and that for me is a major thing...have one shop like Price Slice as the local thing but the rest should be owned by families imo.

Yeah Mr C was the heart of Hollyoaks community, shop owner, driving instructor, Mayor....a proper patriarch(?) of the village and the core of the show in a way. He epitomized the kind of stalwarts you get in communities like that

It is the same with teachers at the school at the moment they are just randoms, I liked it better when a childs parent ran the place or atleast taught there. I am hoping Diane becomes a school fixture.
