At the moment who would you say are the strongest actors & actresses we have in the soap? and what scenes/storylines did they really excel in?

Actors:

1. Tony - A real Hollyoaks fan knows why, Hawthorne storyline, Mandy, sleeping with Theresa etc and many more.
2. Brendan - Great storyline with Warren and involvement with Ste.
3. Darren - Gambling, Cindy, like Tony been around a while and has had a good share of storylines.
4. Rhys - Sleeping with his half sister, dealing with Hannah and other family issues. Going through Gilly & Jacqui storyline.

Thats all I got there.

Actresses:

1. Jacqui - Really shined through the rape storyline.
2. Lynsey - Did well for the Silas storyline, deserved an award for it.
3. Nancy - Umm perhaps death of Becca, Jake etc.
4. Amy - Teen pregnancy and Ste beating her.
5. Mercedes - She's been around the block enough (no pun inteaded) been involved in a few big storylines.


I could only pick 9. Shows bad the show currently is.

Actors:

1. Tony - Would have to agree and say Mr Hollyoaks himself, storylines that stick in my mind are Baby Grace, Domestic Violence Victim, Various engagments, proposals and weddings and his general passion for food/cooking.
2. Brendan - Instant impact as a character and have a love/hate relationship with him. Excelled during the Ste storyline and liked his mind games with Silas.
3. Darren - Have to admit I like the Darren of old better than the Darren we have now, would rather see the gold chain and string vests one back rather than the more mature one. Excelled in the original gambling storyline, relationships with Cindy and Nancy have been great and liked his up and down relationships with his family.
4. Jack - Another backbone of hollyoaks and a great character. Faking his own death, losing the pub, being an ex copper, being wed 3 times and taking on random teens/kids over the years.
5. Tom - I don't think I need to list his storylines but the poor lad has lost pretty much everyone who got close to him enough said.


Actresses:

1. Jacqui - Loved how strong she was and how she was in prison twice and her helping Becca inside, her faked wedding to Alexsander to pay off a debt to some random and the rape storyline was done well. Didn't like her in the baby storyline though.
2. Cindy - Love that although she can be a total bitch she also has a softer side, excelled during many storylines....golddigger and marrying Allistar, manipulating/stirring things to get her own way, Holly being missing, struggling being a mother, relationship with Darren and Tony.
3. Amy - Losing Sarah, teenage pregnancy, domestic violence, being a mum in general, joyriding storyline, relationship with Josh.
4. Nancy - Graces death, relationship with Foz, Nearly being raped by Jake, Losing Becca, taking on someone elses child in general.
5. Lynsey - Silas storyline alone.

Good to see our lists are pretty much the same, I would add Tom & Jack too actually.

1 Rhys(Andrew Moss)- he's had so much crap to deal with and he's still coping
2 (this wont be a popular choice) Callum(Laurie Duncan)- i think he's been good since coming into the show, dont like the pairing with Maddie thought.
3 Tony(Nick Pickard)-the original and the best
4 Darren(ATD-have always rated Darren but i do wish they gave him alot more serious storylines over the years and not just the past year
5 Brendan(Emmett Scanlan)-brilliant character

1 Lynsey(karen Hassan)-really came through in the Silas storyline before hand i thought she was a bit bland
2 Cheryl(Bronagh Waugh)-Deffo one of my faves and she can actaully act
3 Jacqui(Claire Cooper)-How the hell this girl has not won an award yet is beyond me
4 Texas(Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove)-I like her i dont know why but i do
5 Michaela(Hollie Jay Bowes)-i just think she comedic genius but proved she could act

xxx

1. Tony he's had some good storylines over the years and has always delivered
2. Darren, the gambling storyline, relationship with Nancy
3. Tom - the poor kid has practically nobody and he's always excelled in his storylines
4. Jack again some brilliant storylines.

1. Lynsey - finally got a decent storyline with the Silas stuff and it was amazing!
2. Cheryl - makes me laugh near enough every scene she was in
3. Jacqui - excellent through the rape storyline
4.Nancy - losing Becca, her unborn baby with Darren etc
5. Mitzeee - I really like her at the moment and her eagerness for fame always makes me laugh

1. Darren - The gambling stuff, Hannah's relapse and now the Nancy stuff. He is absolutely amazing at the serious stuff yet even the fun side of him is great to watch.
2. Rhys - The stuff with his father and Beth, Hannah's ED, the drink spiking thing, the rape storyline etc.
3. Tony - Same as what everyone else has said
4. Tom - He's just always amazing, can't imagine the show without him.
5. Jack- Everything he's ever been given, it's about time he was given another storyline of his own
!
(Not really in a specific order) Obviously Brendan's a good actor too, he's just not to my taste and I don't find him all that interesting at all.

1. Jacqui- Never realised how great she was until the rape storyline, though watching older scenes back I realised she has always been fantastic.
2. Cindy- Think they need to use her for more than just being the village bitch. She's a great actress, loved her stuff with Darren, especially the recent stuff.
3. Nancy- What everyone else has said, the last couple of weeks she's really shone through again.
4. Mitzeee- Just in general, though I am disliking her at the moment.

Lynsey and Mercedes are up there too.
