What characters did you dislike on the show at first but then they grew on you?

Trevor was one for me, loved him in the end (him and his small teacups)
Wonder whatever happened to his cool bar

Sinead O'Connor, because I restarted watching Hollyoaks around Esther's bullying (I initially only planned on watching "Enjoy The Ride", but things kept happening, so I got re-hooked), so my first real exposure to Sinead was of a horrible character, and actually wanted her to get a karmic exit following Esther's suicide attempt, and resulting exposure of her bullying (yes, I wanted her killed off), but since they kept her in the show, and actually showed her suffering, it eventually got to a point where it was beyond karma, and she ended up sympathetic to me. After that she showed that she had the potential to get better, and was more likeable in my opinion.
Ironically(?) she later showed signs of being ruined as a character for me, and by 2015 I was actually hoping they'd write her out in a nice way while they still could, with her dignity in tact. So yeah, I initially wanted her written out because I didn't like her, and then I wanted her written out because I did.

Libby...couldn't stand the first version. The new Libby I think is a great character.

Denis Savage
Really used to annoy me, thought he was a second rate Lee, but his scenes with Leanne were heartbreaking and made me warm to him, and I loved his return last year for Dirk's funeral and his suspicions of Milo and the videos he posted on twitter when he went round to Danny Mac's house to tell him Dirk was dead only to be told "it wasn't real" and that Danny had spoken to "Dave" a few days ago, they were so funny

Dirk Savage - use to think they were all rubbish in that family and wanted them axed but loved Dirk in the end.

Scott has also grown on me lately, disliked him at first hugely but now in some scenes I like him.

He is more bearable now than when he first joined the show
I don't really know if this drag act storyline is the best way to take the character though
