Thats what I am saying - Mandys history with Luke should be a lot more than her history with Darren. They were childhood sweethearts and she should want Luke over Darren.

I'm not a big fan of the affair. It damages the credibility of Luke/Mandy and Darren/Nancy's love. I am more invested in Darren and Nancy since I didn't get to see the early years with Luke and Mandy but I have been there every step of the way with Darren and Nancy. After waiting so long for the reunion and then the long struggle of their reunion, for Darren to screw it up so easily is frustrating.
It does feel like when the writers run out of ideas they just do an affair.
It occurs to me, how old are Darren's twins? AFAIK he hasn't seen them since they were infants, there's potential for future characters.
