Seriously how he is so taken in by Darcy, does he see her as a substitute for Ruth or Frankie  Jack would know what Sienna did to Darren and Claire to Tom and Max yet is falling for all Darcy's evil ways

Jack did reject Darcy when she wanted to cuddle, so I think he's just trying to be a good friend to her. Darcy is hitting new lows in trying to con Jack when he might be dying.
It will be sad if Jack really does die.
