I love Ben's tense interactions with the waiter and then you just see him beating up the waiters as Izzy sings his praises, if done today this would be cringey but with those two it worked brilliantly

Joe has potential to be a Ben imo. Be good to see more Joe/Darren/Tony scenes.
BUT if seems like Joe made Kim abort their baby or something so maybe not lol.

I don't know if they could replicate Ben, this scene showcased Marcus's talent and that he didn't need to just rely on looks like several HO actors do/did...the nearest we've had to Ben in recent years was Russ in my opinion

Yeah Marcus had it all - good looks and could do all kinds of scenes.

He was normal and you don't get normal anymore on Hollyoaks you get manipulative, selfish, money grabbing baddies all the time. Really hope the Lovedays will be normal.

Yeah far to many characters these days doing/saying things that their character just wouldn't do just to fit the storylines. That's ok if it is whodunit type things and they need to create a few other reasons for people to have killed etc but not all the time. Everything is too predictable these days aswell.

Deaths and 'disasters' used to be a big thing, like the potholing and Theo and Jamie's deaths and Dan Hunter's car (inexplicably) exploding. It was a shock, it shocked us because we didn't know about it and because deaths weren't a monthly occurance...nowadays if someone dies it's like "Oh someone's died, how un-shocking" the only thing that deaths do now is rob us of some of our favourite characters e.g Rhys, Leanne, Doug, Texas, Carmel, Mercedes, but they don't shock us anymore

Less murders and more accidental deaths needed. Classic Ben/Izzy vid below mixed in with some other stuff.
