True that so stupid Russ and Mercedes could have got married no drama nothing but no had to have him sleep with Goldie get her pregnant her with her cousin and then he is murdered

To bring back a tenured, popular character like Russ only to kill him off as a plot device to elevate Mercedes pissed me off - I kind of wish he hadn't come back as at least he'd be alive in the Hollyoaks Universe

Yet we've had no mention of them by the McQueens, Russ's body is obviously at the morgue(?) so why haven't Rob and Carrie at least come to the village to see him? I don't mean on screen necessarily but a comment by Mercy or Myra saying that they'd been to see Russ or they'd been in touch at least. Hollyoaks don't think about simple things like that

The police keep the body till they work out what killed them don't they obviously it was a hammer so Russ has been buried somewhere where Carrie and Rob are

That reminds me of the police not knowing what Amy died from despite forensics easily knowing what the cause of death would be...I don't get how that was overlooked
