I really think Hollyoaks need to cover a wider range of courses at HCC, and also consider the options of not going to college/university because i'm sure loads of students would appreciate it. What about Newt going off and doing an apprenticeship in mechanics, or one of the students actually studying a course which wouldn't be considered a 'mickey mouse' course?
It seems the only two who I know of that did a 'proper' degree are Katy (law, who i'm pretty sure broke it several times whilst on the show) and elliot who is the stereotypical geek.
In my opinion if they want to bring the teens to the forefront this is one way of doing it. Plus, get the graduating students real jobs and stop making us in our final years nervous about not getting one!!
