They were punished by making them "unlikeable"
I mean Rhys had finally settled with Jacqui and had fostered Phoebe but they still had him revert to his old ways and cheat on Jacqui
Nice guy Calvin... out of nowhere became a creep... then killed off in possibly one of the worst murder motives/murderers in the history of HO. Why has nearly every character killed someone?

I know Russ was written out, apparently he found out in an article that he was being killed off, he said at the time he thought Russ had more to give but "understood the bosses decision"
Russ being killed by Breda really peed me off
