Russ's parents and Nicole on Russ's side, Mercedes would have a long list of family that should be there, most notably JP and Jacqui
I'm not expecting to see any returns but will they explain the absences? Probably not

Russ haven't even gave us an update on anyone yet has he. I think him and Nancy have more potential than him and Mercy.

No, to my knowledge Russ has not said anything about his family, a bit like Lee Hunter when he came back and mentioned nothing about his family, aside from the Bombhead cameo Lee could have been a new character (maybe he should have been) he resembled no characteristics of the old Lee, at least Luke mentioned his father had died but, also, didn't mention his siblings or mother.
I hope at least we get an explanation for their absence (and Mercy's relatives too)

I am gutted they killed him off. If they wanted a killer Nanny type then Breda should be married to silas and continue his methods or something. Gutted Russ is dead.

It is shocking they killed Russ if the actor didn't want to leave.
I'm still excited to see the fallout, Mercy locked up, Breda's reign of terror. I wonder if Breda will feel bad about Mercy being locked up and maybe try to help her?
