Months back Leela and Zach broke up because she suspected that he had hurt Daniel while at her apartment. The story seemed to portray Zach as innocent, yet afaik we never learned who really hurt Daniel, unless I missed something.
I suspected Peri, that would've been a pretty serious story for Leela to deal with one child having hurt the other.

Didn't they find out that Daniel had a health condition that made it look like he had been abused and Zak really was innocent?

I don't remember that at all. Maybe I just forgot that. Anybody else remember that? It does make more sense than the story being dropped.
