Be good to see it with a character who is all about their looks.

They did a character concerned with looks SL with Scarmel and look how atrociously that was concluded

There are lots of great possibilities suggested.
DID is an interesting story that I'm always fascinated by. It would be a good fit for Hollyoaks, as DID stories often get pretty campy. I'd nominate Mercedes for that story. Giving her a few new personalities would really shake things up and possibly absolve her of a lot of her past crimes.
A man raped by a woman would be pretty shocking. It would be pretty different.
HO did a good job with the Jason transgender storyline, but I was disapointed that it was cut short with Jason's exit. I'd like to see a transgender story that was longer, seeing the character to complete transition and then let the character continue on in the show having new stories, finding love, etc. Since HO did do a trans story with Jason, maybe next time have a male to female trans character, and be straight since Jason was gay. On the other hand, a gay love story with one character trans would be fairly original, that's not something you see much. I'd definitely want the trans character to be played by a man who would cross dress as a woman, or even a real trans. I think it feels like a cheat to have a woman play a trans woman, it softens the impact to the audience, and it just feels unauthentic. There are plenty of trans actors who would want the role, and it's so rare to see trans actors actually playing trans characters.
A lesbian being raped and getting pregnant would be a gripping story, but I'd like to see it done a few years down the road if they're going to use Esther, especially if she's going to keep the baby. HO's gays have been pretty young parents with Ste and John Paul. If Esther gave the baby up or didn't have the baby, I'd be more open to it. I'd be all for Esther having a child down the road, but I'd like to see her wait several years at least. It is a little disturbing to think of Esther getting raped though.
